Life is so weird. I agreed to do an interview series on being a birthmother! The interview will be published in parts.
Check out Part One of my conversation with journalist Shea Keating here:

Awesome!! I think it’s great that you did this interview! It’s going to be so helpful for a lot of people to have this insight and information. Openness can mean many things. I am hoping to meet my daughter’s birthmom soon. My daughter will be 4 this month and it will be our first meeting. I’m really excited to finally meet her and see the direction our relationship takes and what our openness will become. So far it’s been great for me and I hope it is for her as well!

Wow! What an exciting time! Don’t be afraid to take it slow and let things evolve over time — remember that you don’t have to figure out every detail right away. Be prepared for a variety of emotions (they’re all normal, I promise), and good luck!
Also, not to self-promote or anything, but I wrote about the first time I saw my daughter after a several-year hiatus here if you need/want a perspective from the other side: https://aflowerthatlivesonastar.wordpress.com/2017/08/23/the-night-before-meeting-my-daughter/
Then I wrote about how it went here: https://aflowerthatlivesonastar.wordpress.com/2017/08/23/the-day-of-meeting-my-daughter/
Good luck!!
